Summary:
Takes customer calls and schedules customer rides using a computerized scheduling system.
Creates daily manifests for paratransit drivers based on customer demands.
Responsibilities:
Follows general policies, procedures and practices in compliance with federal, state, local and company rules and regulations.
Answer customer calls and inputs all customer rides using a computerized scheduling system.
Enters data onto spreadsheets and databases.
Provides customer service with late vehicle service, verifying no shows and assisting riders with resolving service related complaints.
Creates daily manifests for paratransit drivers based on customer demands.
Monitors efficiencies of manifests to ensure that routes are logical and efficient based on customer needs.
Maintain a clean and well organized work area.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required.
Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
Ability to read, comprehend and understand maps.
Ability to read, understand, interpret and explain transit system operating rules, regulations, policies and routes.
Basic mathematical skills.
Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; communicate effectively and clearly over the telephone in keeping a professional and pleasant tone.
