Summary:
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Develop and structure appropriate aquatic exercise programs in one-on-one and group settings for children and adults with special needs, including those with physical and cognitive deficits.
Structure aquatic instruction time appropriately to incorporate repetition and reinforcement of skills.
Ensure participant safety.
Conduct one-on-one and group instruction in a fun, positive manner.
Create and maintain required documentation for client follow up.
Participate in special projects/programs, as requested by supervisor.
Education and Training:
Aquatic Exercise or Adaptive Swim certification preferred.
Special consideration given to instructors with experience teaching children and/or adults with special needs.
Ability to swim 50 yards, tread water, and perform therapy-based activities in indoor 90-degree therapeutic pool.
CPR certification required 30 days from hire date.
Good communication skills and enjoys working with children and adults with disabilities.

Pay range:
$20 - $30 per hour depending on experience.
