About The Graphic Designer reports directly to the Executive Director and collaborates, brainstorms, and strategizes with multiple teams on a wide range of print and digital design materials that may include web pages, presentations, programming collateral, signage, internal communications, newsletters, marketing materials, reports and forms.
The Multicultural Center of Marin works with immigrants and low-income families of Marin County to advance their social, cultural, and economic well-being through self-empowerment programs that encourage participation in the broader civic life of US society.
Our programs promote leadership, economic development, and social, restorative, and environmental justice.
Responsibilities Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project goals and objectives and brainstorm and strategize with teams to develop creative solutions and concepts for design projects.
Develop visually engaging designs for print and digital materials based on project requirements and brand guidelines.
Produce high-quality graphics, illustrations, layouts, and templates for various purposes, including web pages, presentations, signage, and marketing materials.
Provide design support for various departments, including but not limited to marketing, sales, and internal communications.
Collaborate with content creators and writers to integrate visual elements into written content effectively.
Ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all design materials.
Collaborate with the marketing team to maintain brand integrity and identity in all visual communications.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines effectively.
Coordinate with stakeholders to gather feedback and make necessary revisions to designs.
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in graphic design and continuously enhance skills and knowledge through self-learning and professional development activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications 5 or more years of experience (academic and professional) with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop Strong organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a multi-team organization Desire to continue building their skill set with education and training Preferred Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, design, communications, or related field or equivalent years of experience.
Working knowledge of CSS and HTML Knowledge of WordPress and Divi theme, Asana, JotForm Working knowledge of MailChimp Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for MCM's mission Customer service orientation with the capacity to engage diverse constituencies.
Spanish language skills a plus.
Physical Duties Ability to sit for long periods of time and use a computer Additional Information This is a regular, part-time (20 hours per week), non-exempt position.
Work may be performed remotely.
