Summary:
The Branch Manager is responsible for increasing the branch's deposits and loans and the overall daily operation and on-going administration of a full service, in-store branch, including product sales, operations, client service, and security and safety in accordance with the Bank's objectives. Gains new deposits, markets the branch to attract and retain clients, provides a superior level of client relations and promotes the sales and service culture through coaching, guidance and staff motivation; achieves individual and branch sales goals through new business sales, referrals and retention of account relationships. Provides leadership, training and supervision; delegates day to day operations to the branch staff. Responsible for attaining established Bank and branch goals through active participation in sales and call programs. Works closely with the store management to create marketing opportunities to increase visibility and teamwork. Participates in community business activities and associations to increase the Bank's visibility and to enhance new and existing business opportunities. Non-profit board activity may also be required to increase community connections and improve Bank visibility. May be required to perform other duties as directed by the Chief Operating Officer or as needed to support other branches/ departments.
Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations. In-store branch offers Saturday banking and Branch Manager will be required to work some Saturdays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Engages in business development activities and solicitation of new business prospects; actively involved in instilling and maintaining a positive sales environment through education of the Bank's products and services; investigates and follows up on significant changes in status of existing customers; motivates and monitors staff in cross selling and product presentation compared to goals; meets with customers to discuss needs or concerns and outlines appropriate Bank services. Engages in Community events or organizations that assist in building awareness of FCB and potential new business.
Responsible for marketing objectives of the area serviced by the branch; identifies and pursues potential sources of business and other strategies to meet established goals and directives; identifies opportunities unique to the in-store environment; documents the effectiveness of the branch's marketing plan and makes recommendations to Chief Operating Officer as appropriate.
Maintains an advanced knowledge of financial industry status and trends.
Contributes to the overall profitability of the branch; implements costs controls, income generation, and branch marketing efforts; monitors expenses to ensure compliance with budget.
Reinforces the application of superior customer service through his or her example along with appropriate follow through with involved customers and employees; conducts specific periodic meetings and presentations on this topic with all staff members.
Ensures organization of the branch, coordinating available resources (e.g., staff, materials, etc.) for maximum results.
Ensures that branch is maintained in a neat, clean and attractive manner reflecting the professional image that FCB requires of its locations. Recommends redecoration or major repair or redesign of floor space as needed. Works with store management as necessary.
Participates and directs day to day operations for the branch; approves large deposits and withdrawals; reviews and acts on daily reports. Reviews NSF and overdraft reports for customers assigned within his or her portfolio; approves or declines such exceptions within established lending limits.
Assures audit compliance and procedure quality control and recommends and initiates corrective actions; ensures that the branch is in compliance with established Bank policies, procedures and state and federal regulations.
Maintains knowledge of security and safety policies and strictly adheres to established procedures; works closely with the Bank Security Officer to maintain an updated plan for the branch; ensures branch staff is properly trained and made aware of any changes to the branch's plan and procedures. Is expected to report potentially unsafe conditions.
Works closely with the CRA Officer and promotes the Bank's CRA policies and programs; participates in various professional, civic and community activities; forwards all related documents, comments or requests to the CRA Officer; responsible for the administration of the branch's CRA public file.
Participates in various internal committees assigned by the Chief Operating Officer May assume responsibility for special projects; gathering data and preparing reports for the Chief Operating Officer, audits and other Departments.
Ensures effective communication to staff and implementation of all policy and procedure changes as approved by Executive Management; schedules and conducts any necessary training for staff. Plays a positive role in the development and growth of assigned branch staff through excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong delegation skills assuring a highly cross trained staff. Performs personnel actions including performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and interviewing candidates for employment; supervises the daily activities of the branch including, but not limited to, effective delegation of assignments, developing work schedules and providing necessary training.
Assumes responsibility for various branch functions in the absence of staff members or in overload situations. Assists other branches or departments with projects, staffing support, etc. as needed.

The position of Branch Manager is responsible for the supervision of

or more employee(s), and normally carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Bank's policies and applicable laws, ensuring adherence to EEO guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS
Proven sales ability and documented branch growth
Minimum 5 year's branch management experience Preferably In-store branch management
Leadership and experience in teamwork (or team building) and customer service.
Experience in hiring, training, coaching and performance management of employees.
Active involvement in business related local community organizations (i.e., Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, etc.)
